My name is Konstantinos Vlachos and I am a researcher and educator in the field of teaching Greek as a second/foreign language. I am a PhD candidate at the University of Thessaly (Department of Language and Intercultural Studies), with research interests in intercultural education, applied linguistics, and educational technology.
In recent years, I have worked with a variety of linguistic and cultural populations, both in Greece and online with the global Greek diaspora. During my postgraduate studies in “Language Education for Refugees and Migrants,” I participated in educational programs for refugee children and adolescents. Through the Glossonauts community, which I co-founded, we develop innovative educational materials using stories, games, digital tools, and social media to foster linguistic and cultural literacy. I believe education can act as a “rhizomatic” process — a way of cultivating connections and identities through language.
