On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the hybrid kick-off meeting of the Rhizo-eduscapes research team took place in person in Room C1 (3rd floor, 37 Glavani Street, Volos, University of Thessaly) and remotely via Zoom.

Seventeen members of the research team participated in person and 19 remotely.

In the first part of the meeting, after the members of the Project Team had been introduced, the Scientific Coordinator of the project, R. Kitsiou, presented the framework of the project, its objectives, philosophy, and structure, as well as the sub-working groups.

In the second part of the meeting, an experiential activity was carried out, in which the participants, divided into groups, were asked to comment on a comic strip entitled “I am under 18 and seeking asylum in Greece,” which is posted on the website of the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum. This was followed by a presentation and discussion of the institutional framework for unaccompanied minors in Greece and Europe. The kick-off meeting concluded with a discussion to address questions and confirm the schedule for the group’s next plenary meetings.
